Are you a student looking for more credits or experience? Why not spend a bit of time each week as an intern?
WBEV/WXRO is looking for students to participate in our internship/school to work program. This is an unpaid position; however, you can contact your school to get information on possible college credits. Even if you’re not a Radio or Communications major, there may be something here for you. You would gain valuable marketing experience such as creating proposals, brainstorming & planning new event ideas, researching earned media, and facilitation on-site vendor programs. This program is great for anyone looking for more experience in this field as well as beneficial to your resume.
Of course, if you are a Radio/TV/Film or Communications major you can greatly benefit from our program. You will learn sales experience such as: creating lead lists, writing orders, monitoring the radio/website, and event re-cap for Partners. You would also answer phones, be given general office tasks, and prepare for remotes. You will get the opportunity to learn different skills. Some previous experience in computers, organizational skills, and teamwork are helpful. This program also allows flexibility around your schooling and work if necessary. They will work with you to give you the experience in areas you enjoy and are interested in learning more about.
