1- CUP OLD FASHIONED ROLLED OATS
3/4- CUP WHOLE-WHEAT FLOUR
3/4- CUP ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
2-TABLESPOONS SUGAR
1-TABLESPOON BAKING POWDER
1/4- TEASPOON SALT
1-TESPOON CINNAMON
1-CUP CHOPPED FRESH OR FROZEN CRANBERRIES
1/4 CUP FINELY CHOPPED WALNUTS
1-TABLESPOON BROWN SUGAR
1-TABLESPOON WHEAT GERM
PRE-HEAT OVEN TO 400°. COAT MUFFIN TIN WITH COOKING SPRAY OR LINE WITH PAPER LINERS. IN A BOWL WHISK TOGETHER MILK, EGG, OIL AND VANILLA. STIR IN OATS. IN ANOTHER BOWL, COMBINE FLOURS, SUGAR, BAKING POWDER, SALT AND CINNAMON. ADD MILK MIXTURE AND STIR JUST UNTIL BLENDED. FOLD IN CRANBERRIES. FILL MUFFIN CUPS 2/3 FULL. IN A SMALL BOWL, MIX WALNUTS, BROWN SUGAR AND WHEAT GERM TOGETHER AND SPRINKLE ON TOP OF THE MUFFINS. BAKE 22 TO 24 MINUTES OR UNTIL A TOOTHPICK INSERTED INTO THE CENTER COMES OUT CLEAN
